Renegade Paws Rescue receives $100,000 grant from PetSmart Charities Add Us On Google Add as a preferred source on Google SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A local Savannah rescue received a $100,000 grant from PetSmart Charities to help addressed barriers to veterinary care in the 31415 zip code of Savannah. This zip code includes Carver Village and Cloverdale.

The Incubator grant program supports veterinary programs targeted toward communities that have been historically excluded. “ Renegade Paws Rescue is honored to be one of this year’s incubator grantees.

Since establishing our shelter in this community in 2023, it became increasingly apparent that this area of Savannah was in need of veterinary care and services that are both accessible and affordable,” said Jennifer Taylor, director of Renegade Paws Rescue.

“As we are committed to helping both ends of the leash, this funding enables us to expand our reach and provide services to pet owners who have been without veterinary resources within their community for a number of years.
