## Welcome to the Rensselaer Housing Authority Rensselaer Housing Authority was established in 1952. Ground breaking for John Warden Apartments (85 Aiken Ave. Rensselaer) took place in the early 1970’s.
Patroons Dorp (Broadway, First and Second Street) had its ground breaking in 1982. Rensselaer Housing Authority currently has 146 Units combined between both smoke free sites. Rensselaer Housing Authority also has a Section 8 Program.
The jurisdictions for this program are the City of Rensselaer, Poestenkill, West Sand Lake, Wynantskill, Averill Park, Defreestville, East Greenbush and North Greenbush. The Rensselaer Housing Authority shall at all times provided decent, safe, and sanitary housing for our families. We will also promote efficiency, economy, serviceability and the well-being of our tenants.
