RAAIS - Leading AI Summit The Research and applied ai summit (RAAIS) RAAIS is The RAAIS Foundation’s annual fundraising event, organised to support the Foundation’s charitable mission of advancing education and open research in artificial intelligence for the common good (Registered Charity No. 1181904).
The event brings together a vibrant community of researchers, entrepreneurs, and practitioners who are pushing the frontiers of AI science and applications to tackle some of the world’s most important challenges. The Foundation believes that AI’s real-world impact should go beyond solely for-profit applications.
Through RAAIS, it seeks to foster collaboration, spark new ideas, and provide opportunities for communities and individuals who might not otherwise participate in advancing AI. All funds raised through this annual fundraising event directly support The RAAIS Foundation’s charitable programmes in education and research.
12th June 2026 - London, UK Head of Machine Learning Engineering at Revolut Nikolay runs Machine Learning Engineering at Revolut , where his org builds the AI platform behind the company's production models, from classical ML to GenAI. His teams ship the governance, evaluation, release, and cost controls that keep regulated AI running in production across a global financial super-app.
He holds a PhD in engineering, with earlier work on control systems and predictive maintenance for. Senior Staff Research Scientist at Google DeepMind Roberta is a Senior Staff Research Scientist at Google DeepMind , where she leads the Open-Endedness team. Her research spans reinforcement learning, open-ended learning, and language models, with a focus on agents that can plan, reason, act, and use tools.
Roberta previously led the AI Scientist team at Meta GenAI and started the Tool Use team for Llama 3. She earned her PhD in Computer Science at NYU. Co-Founder & CTO at Odyssey Jeff is co-founder and CTO of Odyssey , a frontier AI lab developing general-purpose world models.
Prior to Odyssey, Jeff spent 15 years developing AI in autonomous driving, including pioneering visual policy learning as VP Technology at Wayve. He holds degrees in engineering and computer science from the University of Auckland, Georgia Tech, and completed his doctorate at the University of Oxford.
Research Engineer at ElevenLabs Angelos is a Research Engineer at ElevenLabs , where he leads the research engineering teams for speech-to-text and text-to-speech. Prior to joining ElevenLabs, he worked in cloud infrastructure engineering, which shaped his practical approach to building reliable systems. He led the team and research behind the Scribe v2 and Scribe v2 Realtime transcription models.
Research Scientist at Google DeepMind Vivek is a Research Scientist at Google DeepMind leading research at the intersection of AI, science and medicine. He is the lead researcher behind Med-PaLM, Med-PaLM 2, AIME, and the AI Co-Scientist, the powerful systems that advance medical and scientific superintelligence. Prior to Google, Vivek worked on multimodal assistant systems at Facebook AI Research.
Founder & CEO at Alta Ares Hadrien is the Founder and CEO of Alta Ares , a European AI-first defense company focused on the air domain. He spent years working operationally across the Middle East and Eastern Europe, including Ukraine, well before the region became central to European defense policy.
After the 2022 invasion, he identified a critical air defense capacity gap and expanded Alta Ares into AI-driven counter-drone systems trained on battlefield data. VP of Research at Google DeepMind Raia is VP of Research at Google DeepMind , where she co-leads the Frontier AI unit.
Her work spans continual learning, robotics, and navigation, with highly cited publications including Overcoming Catastrophic Forgetting in Neural Networks , and Learning to Navigate in Complex Environments . Raia previously spoke at RAAIS in 2017 and earned her PhD at NYU with Yann LeCun. Member of Technical Staff at Anthropic Ted leads the Science of Scaling team at Anthropic .
Before Anthropic, he did his PhD at the Gatsby Computational Neuroscience Unit, where he researched multitask reinforcement learning in both AI and the brain, and interned at DeepMind.
