com 2024-05-17T08:25:26-05:00 The Facial Pain Research Foundation (FPRF) is committed to funding the best research to find a cure or advance the understanding of Trigeminal Neuralgia and Neuropathic Facial Pain. To that end, the Foundation invites applications for innovative patient-centered research that shows potential to lead to a cure for Trigeminal Neuralgia.
Researchers from any scientific discipline worldwide are eligible for funding; those who typically receive funding hold advanced degrees (MD, PhD, or the equivalent) and academic positions at universities, medical centers, or research institutions. Grants up to $200K will be made for a two-year timeline, if needed to complete innovative research.
A research progress report would be expected mid-term, with a final report and publication due at completion. Proposals should be no more than five pages in length (1″” margins using no smaller than 11-point font size) and clearly state the research proposition, the specific aims of the study, the timing and budget for the work, and the relevancy of your plans to the goals of the FPRF.
Figures are allowed but must fit within the 5-page limit. In the proposed budget the applicant should indicate in detail how they propose to use the FPRF Award funds. Allowable budget items include salaries and fringe benefits, equipment, supplies, costs for technical services, etc. The application should include itemized budgets for each year, in a tabulated column/dollar amount format; narrative budgets are not acceptable.
Funds cannot be used for overhead or indirect costs. Proposals should be sent to info@facingfacialpain. org .
