Research Initiatives (Discretionary Funds for Critical Infrastructure Projects) is sponsored by Sam Day Foundation. The Sam Day Foundation provides discretionary funds to support critical infrastructure projects that are essential for the advancement of childhood cancer research.

Research Initiatives | Unveiling Progress Our funding priorities also encompass projects that aim to enhance long-term health outcomes, treatment tolerances, Naturopathic medicine, nutritional support, and improvements in quality of life. We understand that not all vital components of research adhere strictly to hypothesis-driven studies.

Therefore, we have discretionary funds available to support critical infrastructure projects that are essential for the advancement of childhood cancer research. Survival is nice, but the full quality of life should be retained. The full potential that the childhood should have had without the cancer should be retained and that is one of our motivations.

SDF Grants $370K To CureFAST Since 2019, SDF granted $370,000 to CC-TDI for CuReFAST, advancing childhood tumor research with innovative tumor bank program. We are interested in innovative research projects on sarcomas and brain tumors with a high likelihood of moving discoveries forward into clinical trials. Currently, we exclusively fund research projects conducted in the United States.

Special consideration is given to opportunities in the Pacific Northwest, including clinical trial sites.
