**Resilient NJ: Regional Assistance Program – Regional Planning Grants** # Resilient NJ: Regional Assistance Program – Regional Planning Grants **PURPOSE OF FUNDING**The Resilient NJ: Regional Assistance Program funds collaborative regional planning efforts that support the development of regional resilience action plans to increase resilience, build local capacity, and allow local governments to address their needs while enhancing the value and integrity of ecological, economic, recreational, and natural resources in their communities.
**APPLICATION DEADLINE**July 7, 2026 at 12PM **NOTIFICATION DATE**September 2026 **SOURCE OF FUNDING**National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) as part of the Building a Climate Ready NJ initiative (https://climateready. nj. gov/), and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) This opportunity is open to every municipality and county in the State of New Jersey.
Municipalities who have previously received funding through the Resilient NJ: Regional Assistance Program are not eligible to apply or be recipients of this funding; however, they may participate in the planning process if they share a border with the applying region. **QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR CONSIDERATION** This opportunity is open to every municipality and county in the State of New Jersey.
Applicants must self-organize into multi-municipal regions. Participating municipalities do not have to be in the same county but they must be adjacent to each other. Up to four (4) Regional Teams will be funded under this grant program.
It is estimated that grants may be awarded between $200,000 to $350,000 for each region, including up to $150,000 of that award set aside for Community Based Organizations. The award amount will be based on the preliminary budget submitted with the application and the amount of available funding. **APPLICATION PROCEDURES** Please submit an electronic PDF of the application to resilientnj@dep.
nj. gov, by 12:00 P. M.
EST on July 7, 2026, to be eligible for funding. Notice of receipt will be provided to the applicant by email. Any applicant that submits an incomplete application shall be deemed ineligible.
