Restaurant Recovery Fund is sponsored by National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation. Provides grants to independent restaurants to help them recover from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

We do this through the vast opportunities offered in the restaurant, foodservice and hospitality industry. ProStart is a nationwide, two-year high school program that reaches more than 234,000 students in 2,275 high schools across every U.S. state, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia.

Each year, we award more than $1 million in scholarships to hundreds of individuals pursuing a post-secondary degree in the restaurant, foodservice, and hospitality industry. Applications are open annually, January 15 to March 15. National ProStart Invitational April 24–26, 2026 in Baltimore, MD.

The country’s premier secondary school competition focused on restaurant management and culinary arts. Restaurant & Hospitality Leadership Center We provide employers with accredited apprenticeship training programs for Line Cook, Assistant Kitchen Manager, Kitchen Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager, and Restaurant Manager.

Our programs support military personnel and those transitioning to civilian careers with training, apprenticeships, certification grants, and scholarships. Throughout the year, the Foundation hosts and participates in numerous events, including trainings, webinars, competitions, conferences, award galas, and industry events.
