Restoration Fund is sponsored by Meyer Foundation. Supports grantee partners with one-time grants to promote staff wellbeing and sustain organizers in racial and economic justice work.

Restoration Fund - Meyer Foundation Successful, resilient organizations and movements depend on the wellbeing of the people who lead the work every day. We recognize the toll – both physical and emotional – that racial and economic justice work can exact, particularly for PGM (people of the global majority) leaders.

To support grantee partners, we established the Restoration Fund to promote staff wellbeing, boost morale, and sustain organizers for the long journey of racial and economic justice work. In 2025, Meyer awarded one-time Restoration Fund grants to 61 grantee partners to support activities unrelated to work that promote the rest and wellbeing of staff and others closely involved in their work.

We made these grants to partners working in and organizing with immigrant communities, as well as other organizations defending communities under attack.

Sabbatical Program Grants Our sabbatical program grants are designed to promote deep rest by enabling organizers, frontline staff, senior staff, and executive directors in grantee partner organizations to take a step away from their jobs, rest, and engage in activities that will renew their mind, body, and spirit.

These grants will support sabbaticals of four to eight weeks, covering both the sabbatical and the costs for interim staffing an organization may need. Organizations that have received a program or operating grant from Meyer since January 1, 2024, as well as current grantee partners in the Black Abundance Collaborative, are eligible to apply for a sabbatical grant.
