Financial Assistance - PPATEC Robert V. Boltz Scholarship Foundation This 501(c)(3) nonprofit scholarship foundation was established to offer tuition assistance for individuals who wish to attend the HVAC & Energy Professional Program. It is funded primarily HVAC and energy industry stakeholders to directly support the introduction of new technicians into the HVAC and energy industry.
The Robert V. Boltz Scholarship Foundation is a separate entity of PPATEC is governed by an independent board of directors. Qualifying students are eligible to receive a $3,000 grant to attend the PPATEC HVAC & Energy Professional Program.

Utilities Employee Credit Union (UECU) PPATEC is partnering with Utilities Employees Credit Union to offer a private education line of credit for individuals who would like to attend the 400-Hour HVAC & Energy Professional Program.
Please apply online or contact PPATEC to learn more about student tuition loans. Visit UECU Online Application Portal Many civic clubs, trade associations, and private businesses offer scholarships and other types of aid to students. In most cases, these scholarships are transferable to PPATEC.

The Dave Nelsen Scholarship Award: $5,000 Trane Technician of the Future Scholarship Program: $2,500 – $4,000 The EGIA Foundation Scholarship Program: $2,500 Porch Skilled Trade & Technology Scholarships: $2,000 The EAP Scholarship: $2,000 The Smart Service Scholarship: $1,000 The Rees Scholarship Foundation: up to $2,000 Bring Back The Trades Scholarship: $1,000 Education Loan Finance : amounts vary Next Generation HVAC Scholarship : $2,500 Mike Rowe Work Ethic Scholarship Program : varies PPATEC Health and Safety Plan PPATEC in-person training activity resumed in June 2020 under a modified structure.
A Health and Safety Plan was created using PA Department of Education guidance for resuming in-person instruction at postsecondary education institutions. The safety of our instructors and students will continue to be our top priority in 2021. Class sizes will be reduced by 50% moving forward.
