Grantmaking – Rosenberg Foundation Through its grantmaking, the Rosenberg Foundation supports leadership development, policy advocacy and grassroots organizing to dismantle barriers to opportunity for low-income communities and communities of color through the following priority areas.
The Leading Edge Fund is a $2 million fund created to seed, incubate and accelerate bold ideas from the next generation of progressive movement leaders in California. Criminal justice reform is one of the most urgent civil rights issues of our day. Immigrant Rights & Workers’ Rights An estimated 10 million immigrants, or a quarter of the population, call California home.
Civil Rights & Civic Engagement As recent events around the country have demonstrated, the nation’s work in civil rights is far from finished. Since our founding we have provided close to 2,800 grants totaling nearly $80 million to regional, statewide and national organizations advocating for racial and economic justice throughout California.
The Rosenberg Foundation currently makes grants in four priority areas – Leading Edge Fund, Justice and Public Safety, Immigrant Rights and Immigrant Workers’ Rights, and Civil Rights and Civic Participation. Learn more about our grantmaking process
