ABA Routing Number | U.S. Bank What is an ABA routing number? An ABA routing number is a nine-digit code assigned by the American Banker Association (ABA) that is used to identify financial institutions. When combined with your account number, it allows institutions to locate your individual account.

The routing number is the nine-digit number printed in the bottom left corner of each check. It is followed by your account number in the bottom middle and then by the check number in the bottom right. The fastest way to find your routing number is to look at one of your personal checks.

The easiest way is to open the app and select U.S. Bank Smart Assistant ®. Then say, “What’s the routing number for my checking account? ” How do I find my routing number in online banking?
Find your routing number via online banking by logging in and selecting the applicable account from your dashboard. In the top box, you’ll see your routing number along with the account name and the last four digits of your account number. If you need the full account number, just click on the icon to the right of the four digits.
