FY 2026 Notice of Funding Opportunity Announcement NOW OPEN: FY 2026 Rural Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking (Rural) Program Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) OVW's Rural Program supports efforts to identify, assess, and appropriately respond to child, youth, and adult victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking in rural communities and supports projects uniquely designed to address and prevent these crimes in rural areas.
It funds victim services (such as advocacy, legal assistance, and shelter), investigation, prosecution, adjudication, parole and probation, and other ways of addressing domestic and sexual violence.
Rural Program awards are meant to encourage collaboration, establish and expand nonprofit victim services, increase safety and wellbeing for women and children in rural communities, and ensure victims in rural areas have access to sexual assault medical forensic exams. Expected Award Period: 36 months Expected Award Amount: $500,000 to $950,000 Important Dates and Information Application deadline for Grants.

Peer reviewers consist of active or recently retired practitioners with on-the-ground experience responding to sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking. We prioritize peer reviewers from diverse communities and geographical regions. Prior experience as a peer reviewer is not required.
Reviewers may not peer review grants for which they currently are applying. If you are interested in OVW peer review, email your current resume or curriculum vitae (CV) and a completed Peer Reviewer Information Form to OVW. peerreview@usdoj.
