RXR Community Fund (New Rochelle Relief)

RXR Community Fund (New Rochelle Relief) is sponsored by RXR, administered by the Westchester Community Foundation. Requests proposals from organizations directly serving New Rochelle residents, with a focus on youth development and parent support programs. The organization must demonstrate its ability to monitor, track, and report youth development success.

Supporting New Rochelle's youth and families in the new normal. A grant program dedicated to the health, well-being, and safety of New Rochelle's children and families.

Funds will be distributed from the RXR Building Community Fund, administered by the Westchester Community Foundation (“WCF”). WCF may require additional information to determine eligibility and will process grants to selected organizations.

Consideration for grants is limited to 501c3 nonprofit organizations, groups fiscally sponsored by a 501c3 nonprofit organization, or other charitable organizations able to receive tax-deductible contributions, such as schools, faith-based organizations serving community needs, and other public entities based in or primarily serving Westchester County communities and residents.

The application provides two different pathways to funding depending on the amount. Grants up to $25,000 will be designated for supplemental funding to impactful programs already in existence, while applicants for grants above $25,000 are encouraged to partner with other non-profit organizations or institutions in the area to either expand or establish new and innovative programing that targets a specific need or population.

Applications for funding will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and grants will be issued until the funding is exhausted. Applications can be submitted beginning on Friday, June 3rd, 2022 at noon and will be accepted until Friday, July 1st, 2022 at 11:59pm. Awardees will be announced in mid-August.

Funding will be allocated to organizations that provide various kinds of support to New Rochelle's youth and families, including, but not limited to the following: Safe environments for youth After-school and weekend academic programming Career and workforce readiness Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and trauma support Criteria for consideration: Organization must be an established youth-serving and/or a parent support program Program must have clear outcomes, learning objectives and performance metrics.

The organization must demonstrate its ability to monitor, track and report youth development success through evaluative processes and tools.
