Safe and Healthy Housing program (Critical Repair Program)

Critical Home Repair Assistance Program (CHRAP) is sponsored by City of Rio Rancho (administered by Rebuilding Together Sandoval County). This program, funded via HUD's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), assists qualifying low-income Rio Rancho homeowners with certain essential, non-aesthetic repairs to their homes. The assistance is paid directly to licensed and pre-approved contractors.

Lowe's Hometowns Grant Program is sponsored by Lowe's. This program aims to restore and revitalize community spaces across the country through physical renovations. Consumers can nominate a community space in their hometown, such as a neighborhood garden, park, or community center. While broad, it can apply to infrastructure improvements within a community context.
