gov/cb/fact-sheet/promoting-safe-and-stable-families-pssf-program) Promoting Safe and Stable Families (PSSF) Program Promoting Safe and Stable Families (PSSF) Program The discretionary fund activities funded by the Promoting Safe and Stable Families (PSSF) Program are meant to develop a coordinated and integrated service system that builds on the strengths of families and communities; emphasize collaborative approaches, early identification of issues and the delivery of prevention, intervention and support services; prevent child abuse and neglect, protect children from further abuse, and promote permanency for children within their own families or with kinship or adoptive families; and strengthen families and remove barriers to child safety, permanency and well-being.
