Safety Equipment Funding (50/50 Match Program) is sponsored by HeroFund USA. HeroFund USA partners with first responder agencies across Missouri and Kansas to fund critical safety equipment, including body armor and ballistic protection, through a 50/50 match program.

Request Support – HeroFund USA Request Equipment Funding HeroFund partners with departments across Missouri and Kansas to fund critical safety equipment through our 50/50 match program. Applications for 2026 funding are being accepted through January 31, 2026 HeroFund partners with first responder agencies across Missouri & Kansas.

Eligible departments include: - Law enforcement agencies - Emergency medical services (EMS) Safety Equipment We Support HeroFund funds safety equipment and personal protection resources that keep first responders safe in the line of duty.

Eligible equipment includes: - Body armor and ballistic protection - Protective gear and clothing - Thermal imaging and detection equipment - Communication equipment - Drones for safety and tactical operations - Other safety-focused equipment and resources Eligible equipment types may evolve as technology and needs change. If you're unsure whether your equipment qualifies, contact us before applying.

HeroFund's mission centers entirely on keeping first responders safe. We fund equipment that protects officers, firefighters, and EMS personnel from harm. Our focus remains on the gear and resources that help you come home safely at the end of every shift.

Your department must commit to covering 50% of the total equipment cost. HeroFund will match your contribution up to 50% of the purchase price. Applications are accepted January 1-31 annually .

Requests submitted outside this window cannot be considered. Our MISSION COMMITTEE meets periodically to review all grant funding applications and makes recommendations to our board of directors for their review and approval during their quarterly meetings. Please allow time for evaluation.

Just provide detailed descriptions and cost estimates for each item in the equipment description field. When will we hear back about our application?
