Safety First Grant Program

Safety First Grant Program is sponsored by Norfolk Southern Foundation. This program offers grant funding to organizations in Norfolk Southern's 22-state network that directly provide safety services or promote safe behavior.

Grant Programs | Norfolk Southern In 2023, Norfolk Southern launched two open-application grant programs designed to support organizations that promote safe and sustainable operations, develop the local workforce, and build strong, resilient communities across the 22 states where Norfolk Southern operates. The In-Kind Donation Grant Program remains open year-round and does not have an application deadline.

The Safety First Grant Program is designed to promote overall community safety across Norfolk Southern’s 22-state network. This program is intended to support organizations that directly provide safety services or operate programs that promote safe behavior. <br>\r\n </p>\r\n<p>Norfolk Southern values its relationship with first responders and established the Safety- First program, in part, to recognize and support such groups.
