Saginaw Community Foundation Grants

Community Improvement Initiative Grant Program is a grant from the Saginaw Community Foundation that funds permanent physical community improvement projects in Saginaw County, Michigan. Administered through The Dow Chemical Company in partnership with regional community foundations, the program awards $1,000 to youth groups completing a volunteer project totaling at least 50 group hours across a minimum of 10 participants. Recipients may use the grant for uniforms, travel, or classroom needs, or donate it to a nonprofit of their choice. Eligible applicants must be organized K-12 youth groups. Verbal pre-approval is required before completing the project, followed by submission of a final report with photos.

Lowe's Hometowns Grant Program is sponsored by Lowe's. This program aims to restore and revitalize community spaces across the country through physical renovations. Consumers can nominate a community space in their hometown, such as a neighborhood garden, park, or community center. While broad, it can apply to infrastructure improvements within a community context.
