Sainsbury's Anniversary Fund

Sainsbury's Anniversary Fund is a grant from Sainsbury's that funds UK-based charities and community groups. Part of the Sainsbury Family Charitable Trusts umbrella, the fund provides grants ranging from £2,000 to £50,000 to support charitable work in the UK. The Sainsbury Family Charitable Trusts proactively seek out organizations to support through partnership work and research, rather than maintaining an open application process.

Many trusts work with 360Giving to publish grant data openly. Eligible applicants are UK-based charities and community groups whose work aligns with the fund's priority areas and funding criteria.

Grantmaking activity – The Sainsbury Family Charitable Trusts Each trust publishes a list of grants in its annual report. Many of the trusts also work with 360Giving to publish information about their grants. The majority of trusts do not have an open application process due to their size or specific focus.

We recognise that open application processes can be time consuming for the organisation applying and often do not make the best use of resources of either grantmakers or grantees. Instead, many trusts proactively seek out organisations and initiatives to support, through partnership work and research. The trusts below have their own procedures for grant applications in clearly defined areas, usually for a distinct part of their work.
