The Sandia Foundation Grant Program is administered by the Albuquerque Community Foundation on behalf of the Sandia Foundation to fund Albuquerque nonprofits that serve children and local community members.
Since 1948, the Sandia Foundation has awarded over $49 million to the University of New Mexico and Dickinson College, and $11 million to local nonprofits supporting emergency food and shelter, job skills training, domestic violence services, wellness, arts, and healthcare programs. Preference is given to organizations with operating budgets under $1 million that directly benefit Albuquerque residents. Grants are available up to $15,000.

Community Grants | Sandia Foundation Sandia Foundation Community Contributions Sandia Foundation Community Contributions Since its inception in 1948, the Sandia Foundation has granted more than $49 million to Dickinson College, $49 million to the University of New Mexico, and $11 million to support the work of many Albuquerque nonprofits.
We have been proud to support organizations that provide emergency food and shelter to the homeless, job skills training, domestic violence shelters, wellness programs, dance and music programs for young people, dental care for seniors, financial education for women entrepreneurs, and many health organizations.
The efforts of the Sandia Foundation are concentrated on partnering with Albuquerque nonprofits that work with children in our community with regard to basic needs and advancing their education through long-term, consistent intervention and support. A Request for Proposals will open July 28, 2025 and will close August 28, 2025. Please refer here for the full RFP and link to the application.
