The awards are available only to MSME manufacturers; accommodation providers; sports facility management companies; businesses trading, repairing, and washing vehicles; and quarrying companies.

Micro- and small-scale companies installing solar arrays on existing buildings or on non-agricultural land can apply for a grant worth up to 65% of the project cost and medium-sized businesses can claim up to 55%. Micro and small companies installing storage systems which absorb 75% of the annual electricity generated by a connected renewable energy generation source can apply for grant funding for half the cost.

Medium sized businesses can claim 40%. Eligible systems must be installed before 2030 and grant applications can be submitted until midday on June 30. Sardinia will hold information events about the grant scheme in the weeks ahead with a first meeting planned in Olbia on Nov.
