Saul Zaentz Innovation Fund A New Age of Storytellers The Saul Zaentz Innovation Fund provides support for Baltimore filmmakers in the form of mentoring, networking, skills building, and grant making. Since 2016, SZIF has supported over 170 Fellows, connecting them with hundreds of industry mentors and advisors and providing a total of over $7,000,000 in development and production funding and support.
Investing in the next generation of filmmakers. SZIF gives a voice to those who are underrepresented in the film industry. The Fund emboldens diverse filmmakers to write, design, produce, and distribute visual content, from narrative film to immersive media.
Our youngest fellow was 16 and our oldest fellow was 72. More than half of current and past Fellows have been from the BIPOC community and over 70% have been women. 10 E.
