Bold science, deep and continuous collaborations Schmidt Sciences, founded in 2024, is one of the philanthropic organizations and initiatives created and funded by Eric and Wendy Schmidt to work toward a healthy, resilient, secure world for all. Within each of our five centers, we organize scientific support through programs and projects—tailored to the needs of each specific hypothesis or challenge.
Our team supports researchers pursuing hypotheses that address everything from basic-science questions to pressing problems facing the planet. Science has made profound leaps thanks to ongoing revolutions in computing, data, molecular biology and space. These breakthroughs are making possible new and powerful analytical techniques with practical solutions.
