University of Chicago Trust in India Hit enter to search or ESC to close University of Chicago Trust The University of Chicago Trust supports multiple programs that promote the betterment of India by engaging on critical social challenges with local stakeholders and providing scholarships to students in India to study at the University of Chicago The University of Chicago Trust (the Trust) is a charitable trust in India, established by friends of the University of Chicago.
The objectives of the Trust are to provide opportunities for grants to support educational programs, research programs and activities for the betterment of India. Gifts to the Trust are deductible under Section 80G of the India Income-Tax Act, 1961, providing donors in India a tax-efficient avenue to support these programs.
The Trust is also registered under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (also known as FCRA) to receive foreign donations and grants. The University of Chicago Trust (the Trust) is a charitable trust in India, established by friends of the University of Chicago, which facilitates grants and gifts to support educational and research programs and activities for the betterment of India.
To locally support these ongoing and future activities in India, consider a donation to the University of Chicago Trust in India, which collaborates with the University of Chicago on a number of exciting research initiatives.
Recent activities supported by the Trust include: EPIC-India’s collaboration on designing policy interventions related to private driving behaviors in Delhi, in partnership with the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) [link] Year-long scholarships for 15 students from India Gifts to the Trust are deductible under Section 80G of the India Income-Tax Act, 1961, providing donors in India a tax-efficient avenue to support these programs.
The Trust is also registered under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (also known as FCRA) to receive foreign donations and grants. Donors may be asked to provide additional information for FCRA compliance and reporting purposes. Please email giving@uchicagotrust.

This indirect cost rate is calculated to fund actual indirect costs, not to create financial surpluses in the Trust.
