Externs may work on projects related to non-mortgage lending (credit cards, auto student loans, and various forms of predatory loan products), mortgage lending, bankruptcy, access to utilities, and racial justice and equal economic opportunities issues. Assignments may include: policy analysis, work on NCLC’s manuals, investigative reports, training materials, researching and drafting litigation memos and briefs, and articles.
**Legal Externships** should be for law school credit or paid by the student’s law school and will be unpaid by NCLC. Students should be available to work at least 15 hours per week for at least 10 weeks. **To apply,**please email the following to internships@nclc.
org: * the dates of your proposed externship; * the number of hours you will be available per week and days of the week (if known); * whether you want to work in the Boston office, D. C. office, or remotely; and * a brief statement explaining why you are interested in externing at the National Consumer Law Center.
Applications will be considered on a rolling basis.
