Science, Technology, Arts, and Math (STEAM) Grant Guidelines – Workforce Grants Workforce Development Competitive Funds Workforce Development Special Request Existing Industry Training Program Dual Enrollment Scholarship Program Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math Grant Career Technical Education Equipment Grant Success Coach Initiative Grant Licensed Practical Nursing Program Grant Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) The STEAM grant is purposed to support creative and innovative ideas related to science, technology, engineering, arts, and math, that support and align with the regional workforce priorities.
What Kinds of Projects Will Be Considered? Creative projects that enhance the students’ academic skills and also ignite their curiosity and creativity, preparing them for future educational and career opportunities in STEAM disciplines.
Examples include: Workforce Readiness Camps Summer Electrical Technology Camp for Girls Fun and Learn Summer Robotics Camp Apple Coding Camp for middle schoolers Application Submission, Review, and Approval Applications for funds must be received by the ACCS Workforce Development Division in the prescribed format using the ACCS Online Form.
Upon submittal, a notification of receipt will be generated to the contact person’s email as entered in the online form. ACCS will conduct a preliminary review of applications for completeness. ACCS will conduct a STEAM Review Committee meeting.
Upon approval, the ACCS Workforce Development Division will submit to the applicant a Notification of Award and a Grant Agreement that provides details regarding appropriate accounting and compliance practices.
Applicants should be prepared to respond to the on-line application questions as specified, as well as complete appropriate forms and attach applicable documents as indicated below: Grant Application Working Document Quotes for Equipment or Services Letter of Support from President Letter(s) of Support from Business and Industry Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act (Protection Act) As a condition of any funds awarded, the grantee agrees to comply with the terms of the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act and any subsequent amendments.
