* Training Grant & Scholarship Program Training grants support high schools, technical schools, community colleges, apprenticeship programs, and universities in developing or expanding construction programs across SCOAR’s 12-state footprint. Up to $4,500 per state may be awarded annually based on submitted and selected applications and available funding. Eligible institutions require a recommendation from a member in good standing.

Funds are disbursed directly to educational institutions. SCOAR’s Training Grant Program supports the next generation of skilled professionals in the industrial construction industry by providing funding to educational institutions for training initiatives. ## Training Grant Award Guidelines Before submitting your recommendation, please review the program guidelines below.

Need help? Contact us. SCOAR’s Training Grant Program is a public-private partnership between the industrial construction sector and SCOAR.

Funded by member donations and auctions held at SCOAR’s annual meetings, the program provides funding to educational institutions for training initiatives. Training Grant Guidelines Training grants support technical schools, community colleges, apprenticeship programs, and universities in developing or expanding construction-related programs. Eligible institutions must be recommended by a SCOAR member in good standing.

Grants are awarded based on approved applications and available funding. Up to $4,500 per state may be awarded annually, based on submitted applications, selection criteria, and available funding. All funds are distributed directly to educational institutions.

Eligible programs should demonstrate alignment with industry needs, meaningful student impact, feasibility, and a well-justified budget. For questions, contact Audrey Kennedy at staff@scoar. org.

Training Grant Submission and Award Process A SCOAR member in good standing submits an online recommendation for a potential candidate. SCOAR’s administrative team then contacts the organization and provides instructions, including a link to the online application. Once the application is received, it is reviewed by the administrative team and WFD Committee leadership.

The applicant is then notified of the award status. Grant funds are distributed directly to the institution. Institutions must provide documentation and/or receipts detailing how the funds were used.

A portion of the funds may be held in reserve until program implementation is confirmed.

**Reporting and Accountability** Recipients are required to submit a brief year-end report outlining: * The number of students impacted * Outcomes achieved (e.g., students trained, certifications earned) **Recognition and Follow-up** SCOAR aims to distribute training grants throughout its 12-state region; however, awards are not guaranteed in every state each year.

Funding is determined by the number and quality of approved applications, as well as available resources, with priority given to programs demonstrating the greatest need and impact.
