The My Hero Project of Laguna Beach, California, uses media, art, and technology to celebrate the best of humanity, one story at a time. They shine a light on positive role models through The MY HERO International Film Festival and Media Arts Education Programs.

The Cincinnati Zoo’s Rhino Reserve , which is an innovative new environment that is helping save black rhinos from extinction. Dog Is My Copilot , which transports at-risk animals from overcrowded shelters to adoption centers in other geographic regions. Pollinator Partnership , which promotes the health of the endangered bee pollinators that are critical to food and ecosystems.

Puppies Behind Bars , which trains incarcerated individuals to raise service dogs for wounded war veterans and first responders. CARES Northwest , which, among other services, provides therapy dogs for children who have experienced abuse. The Children’s Organ Transplant Association , a national nonprofit organization dedicated to raising money for transplant-related expenses for children and young adults.

Friends of Disabled Adults and Children , whose mission is to provide medical equipment such as wheelchairs (50,000 since 1986) and hospital beds at little or no cost to individuals with disabilities. The Children’s Oncology Group , which is dedicated to improving the outcome for all children with cancer.

Scripps Research Institute – the family is funding research to advance promising compounds identified from the biomedical research institute’s ReFRAME drug repurposing collection that demonstrate effectiveness against COVID-19. Scripps Employee Relief Fund – financial resources that are helping company employees who have been adversely affected by the economic crisis caused by the pandemic.

Food Pantries in Scripps Markets – an initiative to support targeted food pantries in the 40+ markets where SSP operates its local television stations and national media businesses. Love146 is a global organization headquartered in Connecticut that works to end child trafficking and exploitation through survivor care and prevention education.

Alliance for Children is a Texas-based nonprofit dedicated to protecting children from abuse through collaborative investigations, healing services, and community education. Reach Out & Read is a Boston-based nonprofit that promotes early childhood success by integrating books into pediatric care and encouraging families to read aloud together.
