SD-PWER Grant - Synergy Arts Foundation Performers and Writers Emergency Relief (PWER) (Click to Download the form) To complete the application, save after downloading, fill out the form and email it (as applicable) to [email protected] or mail to Synergy Arts Foundation, 251 Barbara Avenue, Solana Beach CA 92075 SD PWER's mission is to provide limited emergency financial assistance to San Diego County's performing artists (including musicians, dancers, actors), writers, filmmakers and other performing art professionals who are in desperate need because of a medical crisis, accident, fire or loss of personal and professional property.
The maximum annual grant is $1,000 per emergency or $2,500 for a major crisis for individual applicants and $1,000 - $3,000 for arts organizations. The SD-PWER fund is restricted to qualified creative professionals who have lived in San Diego County for a minimum of two years, and who have a record of significant involvement in the arts community. Grants are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Abiding by a strict policy of respecting confidentiality, Synergy will not reveal names of applicants or recipients if so requested. SD-PWER has designated funding from SYNERGY ARTS FOUNDATION, and is operated by a volunteer steering committee so that maximum funds may be distributed to creative professionals in need. SD-PWER raises funds from private donations and from arts events.
