SECU MD Foundation Grants Program is sponsored by SECU MD Foundation Inc. Supports community-based nonprofits across Maryland with innovative programs addressing financial wellness and basic needs.

SECU MD Foundation awards $50,000 in grants | SECU Credit Union This year, as a cornerstone to the SECU Kindness Campaign, the SECU MD Foundation awarded grants to community-based organizations across Maryland that help empower individuals to achieve personal and financial wellness.

Their tireless work throughout the year provides innovative, multi-faceted programming that helps our fellow Marylanders access financial resources and opportunities and build the skills needed to thrive. This year’s applicants showcased the best of Maryland. These were organizations that led with their hearts to support individuals and uplift communities.

We thank every organization that applied and applaud the work you’re doing. Selecting the 10 award recipients was a challenging but rewarding task. Here are the organizations that received a $5,000 grant from the SECU MD Foundation.

2025 SECU MD Foundation grant recipients Autism Society of Maryland Support to help autistic adults achieve financial independence Targeted assistance for schoolchildren facing food-insecurity during the weekend hunger gap. Center of Technology Access and Training Training courses to help senior citizens avoid financial scams. Crossroads Community Food Network Food access for low-income individuals and food entrepreneurship initiative.

Multi-faceted financial empowerment services for Howard County Residents. MCCE – Council on Economic Education in Maryland Professional development and classroom resources for K-12 educators that promotes high quality financial education in schools. Innovative food distribution to remove barriers to food access in West Baltimore.

Training to help individuals launch into family-supporting construction industry careers. Workforce development and financial literacy programming for Baltimore City teens. Worcester County Child Advocacy Center Financial navigation and assistance for families recovering from trauma.
