The SAVE fund is a statewide sales tax revenue fund dedicated to improving educational infrastructure in Iowa. Following an increase in school-related threats nationwide, Iowa legislators have prioritized safety investments through SAVE, enabling districts to purchase advanced security solutions like AI-driven firearm detection systems.
After July 1, 2025, all solutions funded through Iowa's SAVE program must be SAFETY Act Designated. While not a direct grant for small businesses, small businesses can provide eligible technology and services to schools that receive SAVE funds.
