seed grant – Epilepsy Research Center Applications are closed. Please check back later for more opportunities. Thanks to a generous philanthropic partner, we are excited to offer up to two $5,000 awards for advancing cutting-edge epilepsy research.
The purpose of these awards is to support research related to the frontal lobe, rare epilepsies and/or the development of new technologies or treatments. • Faculty, staff scientist, resident, postdoc or graduate student at UCI • Projects can be clinical translational or basic science • Neurobiology of the frontal lobe, especially as it relates to epilepsy.
• Technology development and/or application to epilepsy (e.g., devices, software, diagnostics, etc.) • Next generation therapeutics (e.g., gene/cell therapy, focused ultrasound, etc.) To apply, please use the online submission form on this page. Each application should include the following information (as a single PDF): • Up to 1-page statement describing how you intend to use the funds.
An ad hoc review committee will evaluate all applications, and the awardees will be announced in July 2025 .
