Community Grants, Partnerships, Sponsorships We are committed to making a meaningful impact by addressing local needs, strengthening community connections and promoting long-term solutions that enhance economic prosperity, increase opportunity and preserve the environment.
Organizations holding a current tax-exempt status as a public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (IRS) Organizations holding a current tax-exempt status as a civic league, social welfare organization or local association under Section 501(c)(4) of the IRS A recognized government entity – state, county or city agency, including law enforcement or fire departments, that are requesting funds exclusively for public purposes A K-12 public or nonprofit private school, community/junior college, state/private college or university; or a church or other faith-based organization with a proposed project that benefits the community at large Political campaigns and lobbying groups Organizations that conflict with Sempra Infrastructure’s mission, safety standards or community investment focus areas Sports and recreational teams or clubs (e.g. little league, rodeo teams, community athletics teams, cheer squads, etc.) For-profit businesses and individuals Organizations that proselytize Guided by our social investment strategy, we support organizations that align with at least one of our key focus areas below.
We support initiatives that expand access to education, workforce development and economic resiliency and growth. Funding will prioritize programs that remove barriers, create pathways to success and empower individuals and/or the community to achieve long-term stability and growth.
Safety net programs for working families (e.g., initiatives that provide essential resources such as childcare, transportation, or food assistance to help families maintain employment and stability) Workforce development & employment: Address gaps in skills and create pathways to higher-wage jobs (workforce and career readiness programs, adult education, technical certifications) Community resources: Enable residents to have access to resources that support work and daily life, such as access to childcare, transportation and food security We support initiatives that foster business growth, job creation and sustainable economic opportunities.
Funding prioritizes programs that strengthen local economies, promote entrepreneurship and enhance workforce readiness to drive long-term prosperity.
Community enhancements: Invest in infrastructure recreation and other amenities that attract and retain talent while enhancing the quality of life for the community Safety initiatives: Programs and projects that promote public safety and emergency preparedness Climate Action/Biodiversity: We support biodiversity initiatives that preserve natural ecosystems, restore habitats and promote environmental sustainability.
Funding will prioritize programs that protect wildlife, conserve wetlands and sustain healthy ecosystems.
Tree Plantings: Enhance air quality and carbon capture Marsh Restoration: Protect wetlands and improve flood resilience Coastal Resilience Projects: Shoreline stabilization and erosion control Water Quality Initiatives: Reduce pollution and improve ecosystem health Wildlife Habitat Conservation: Protect native species and reef restoration Funding amount: $500 to $5,000 Applications accepted year-round Sponsorships provide funding for events led by nonprofit organizations and community groups that support community programs or deliver activities that directly benefit local community members.
