Senior Living Community Micro-Grant - The Senior Living Community Micro-Grant helps ease the financial strain that can make it difficult for seniors to move into—or stay in—their senior living community. Eligible residents can receive up to $1,500 toward their first month’s rent or to remain in their community if they’re facing unexpected financial hardship.
Funds are paid directly to the community , helping ensure that every senior has the opportunity to live comfortably, receive the support they need, and continue to thrive in their community. Senior Micro-Grant Program Guide Want to know more? View our detailed program guide for more information such as the application process and more. Age Criteria for Program Eligibility To be eligible for this program, applicants must be seniors, aged 65 years or older.
Pending or Imminent Move to Senior Living Community Applicant must either be in the process of moving into a senior living community or intend to move within the next 60 days.
Applicants must show proof of hardship Applicants must show proof of hardship by submitting at least one of the following: Letter of recommendation from family member, friend, senior placement provider, social worker, etc. detailing the need and financial hardship.
Past due utility, rent or mortgage bill Provide Follow-up Information The applicant must agree to provide any follow-up information regarding the information submitted as part of the application process . In adherence to our commitment towards equitable distribution of resources, SHORE stipulates that individuals are eligible to apply for and receive assistance from only one of our programs within any given 12-month period.
