Service to Nonprofits Grant

Service to Nonprofits Grant is a grant from the Altman Foundation that funds organizations and initiatives that strengthen the capacity and effectiveness of New York City's nonprofit sector.

The foundation provides approximately $80,000 over two years to support umbrella organizations that help member or constituent agencies address critical community issues, as well as to measurably improve organizational effectiveness and program quality at community-based organizations. The Altman Foundation views a strong and resilient nonprofit sector as essential to achieving results across its areas of philanthropic interest.

Eligible applicants are nonprofit organizations based in or serving New York City.

The Foundation provides support to achieve the following: Significantly enhance the ability of key umbrella organizations to help their member or constituent agencies address critical community issues in the Foundation's areas of interest Measurably improve organizational effectiveness or program quality of community-based or other organizations working in the Foundation's areas of interest Advocates for Children of New York, Inc. $100,000 (over two years) To provide direct assistance, information, and training to students, families, and professionals so all students get the support and services they need to succeed in school The New York Community Trust For the New York Child Care Affordability Fund, a pooled fund that seeks to coordinate and strengthen philanthropic support for advocacy for universal child care in New York State
