AIM Center's Housing Resource Center offers short-term financial help with security deposits, overdue rent or utility bills, and basic vision or dental care for individuals in Hamilton County with a Serious Mental Illness diagnosis.

Housing Resource Center | AIM Center Looking for safe stable housing? We're here to help. If you or someone you care about is living with a mental health condition and needs support with housing, we offer several services that may be able to help.

We offer affordable apartments with built-in support to help people with mental health challenges live independently. Our staff are here to help with everyday needs and connect you with community resources. The Housing Resource Center programs are open to anyone in Hamilton County with a Serious Mental Illness diagnosis.

While AIM Center membership is not required to utilize these services, it is strongly encouraged. Permanent supportive housing is an evidence-based approach to addressing homelessness, particularly for individuals living with Serious Mental Illness (SMI).

At AIM Center, we provide stable, supportive environments that empower residents to integrate into the community, develop independent living skills, and connect with essential services such as healthcare, education, and employment. This approach is cost-effective, reducing reliance on emergency services, hospitals, shelters and the criminal justice system.

Every resident must be able to live independently as our properties do not operate like a group home or assisted living facilities do. However, each resident is paired with a dedicated case manager to utilize when a need arises. Residents have connections to resources and ongoing case management. Short-Term Financial Help We may be able to help you with security deposits, overdue rent or utility bills (i.e. electric, water, gas, etc.), and basic vision or dental care.

If you're homeless with a serious mental illness (SMI), or at risk, we can help you apply for disability benefits. Statewide Coordinator for Consumer Housing Specialists Consumer Housing Specialists collaborate with community stakeholders to develop housing resources, educate the public, and build a database to identify needs and develop solutions for individuals with mental or co-occurring disorders.

Region 3 Regional Housing Facilitator Regional Housing Facilitators (RHF) work across seven regions to develop safe, affordable, permanent housing for individuals with mental or co-occurring disorders. The RHF for region 3 includes 23 counties in Tennessee. Interested in Learning More?
