SHOT Fund | Rural Climate Partnership The Soil Health Opportunities & Tools (SHOT) Fund The Soil Health Opportunities & Tools (SHOT) Fund is a joint initiative of the Rural Climate Partnership and the Regenerative Agriculture Foundation. The SHOT Fund puts a thumb on the scale to ensure public and private funding advances the most regenerative agriculture practices and fosters lasting agricultural change with rural communities.

SHOT Fund offerings in 2025 include: 1:1 advice & guidance to nonprofits seeking public & private funding with our SHOT Fund Partnerships Manager Grants to help farmer-facing nonprofits cover capacity & TA needs to apply for public & private funding for regenerative farming 0% interest loans to farmers & farmer-facing nonprofits to cover long reimbursement periods from public funding sources Supportive grants to agriculture nonprofits to implement regenerative farming methods & build interest in regeneratively grown products SHOT Fund advances these regenerative principles: Diverse cropping systems that incorporate crop rotations to boost soil health while sequestering carbon, enhancing yields, and reducing the use of fertilizers Perennial crops that reduce tillage and the need for fertilizers, plus retain more nutrients Tree-based agriculture like reforestation, agroforestry, silvopasture, and mass timber that build soil health and offer the potential to store carbon Well-managed pasture systems that reduce soil disturbance, cut fertilizer use, provide carbon storage, and actively break down emissions Reduced pesticides & agrochemical fertilizer use to avoid substantial emissions, improve soil health, and build resilience To learn more, please reach out to us .
