Single-Family Home Improvement Grant | Palm Beach Gardens, FL - Official Website Single-Family Home Improvement Grant Single-Family Home Improvement Grant The City of Palm Beach Gardens is pleased to announce the availability of 0% interest, deferred payment loans to assist local homeowners in making needed improvements to their homes.
The intent of the program is to improve the quality, standard, and affordability of the existing housing for households that meet workforce housing income limits or 120% of the Palm Beach County median income limit. The improvements are to increase exterior home hardening, energy conservation, and accessibility. Deferred payment loans of up to $40,000 may be awarded to eligible single-family-home property owners.
The included rehabilitation activities may include, but are not limited to: Roof repair and/or replacement Americans with Disabilities (ADA) Accessibility Ramps, etc. as requested/needed Any other improvement that may be determined necessary due to life safety and building code requirements by the program administrators.
To be eligible to receive funding, the Applicant must apply for assistance and meet the following criteria: The Applicant must be a resident of the City of Palm Beach Gardens and own their home within City limits. Not sure if you're a PBG resident? Use our Residency Check map to confirm.
The home must be owner-occupied and demonstrate homestead exemption. No more than $50,000 in household liquid assets. Liquid assets do not include tax advantage retirement or educational savings accounts.
The applicant must certify the total household income, which may be not more than 120% of the local Area Median Income (AMI) for the household size, as determined by Florida Housing Finance Corporation.
