gov/leo "Labor and Economic Opportunity") ## Request for Proposals — Skills in Sync: Strengthening K-12 and Manufacturing Partnerships Regional Partnership Pilots The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity, Office of Employment & Training (LEO-E&T) and Community & Worker Economic Transition Office (LEO-TO) are launching a Skills in Syncpilot program to field-test successful partnerships between K-12 and manufacturing.
LEO-E&T has up to $150,000 available to fund up to three (3) regional partnership networks across the state with grants that support K-12 partnership, engagement, and planning with employers in their local manufacturing ecosystem. Each grant will act as seed funding to offset startup costs associated with coordinating and managing regional partnerships.
The intent of the grant is to expand manufacturing partnerships beyond existing 11th and 12th grade Career and Technical Education (CTE) or advisory board requirements and build deeper engagement aligned with the Michigan Career Development Model. Throughout the grant, LEO-E&T and LEO-TO will document best practices, challenges, and lessons learned.
These learnings will directly inform the forthcoming Skills in Sync partnership playbook. * pdf pdfSkills in Sync RFP * pdf pdfSkills in Sync RFP Checklist * pdf pdfSkills in Sync RFP Cover Sheet ### Application information The completed grant proposal and all documentation must be submitted to the MI Auto Workforce Hub via the LEO-Mi-Auto-Workforce-Hub@michigan. gov email no later than **5:00 p.

The Eli Lilly and Company Foundation's 2026 Open Call opened June 1 and closes July 3, across three focus areas: Global Health, K-12 STEM Education, and Economic Mobility. But two of the three only fund Marion County, Indiana. Here is how to read the geographic fine print, why the funder's commercial identity shapes what wins, and how to position a proposal that actually fits.
Read articleThe Lilly Foundation's 2026 Open Call accepts pre-applications June 1 through July 3. Its three priorities — Global Health, K-12 STEM Education, and Economic Mobility — look national, but the education and mobility tracks concentrate heavily in Marion County, Indiana, while the health track funds cardiometabolic work abroad. Here's how to read the geography before you spend a week on a pre-application you can't win.

Here's the eligibility math, the partner architecture that wins, the NCES locale codes that gate the absolute priority, and the 25-day sprint that determines who gets funded.
