Midland Hispanic Chamber launches monthly small biz micro grants Add Us On Google Add as a preferred source on Google MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - The Midland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce launched a monthly micro grant program on Monday. The grants will help small businesses $1,000 at a time. For Crystal Rodriguez, that means a new camera lens.
She is a long-time Midlander and the owner of Crystal Rodriguez Photography and Services. The grant will help her capture more moments for Midland families, a service she holds dear after losing her mother-in-law in 2017. “My baby didn’t get to meet her so it’s very important for me to actually have those memories to go back and just see and laugh and smile and love those moments,” Rodriguez said.
“I call my quote, serving to capture everlasting memories because I feel like pictures last forever. ” The grants are open to any business with less than $5 million in annual revenue. The application requires an essay.
Membership is preferred, but not required, according to chamber CEO Savannah Morales. “No business is too small for you to try to get a micro grant,” Morales said. “I want them to be able to apply for it.
Don’t get discouraged. Get on there. Fill out the application.
I’s a simple essay to be able to submit your application. [I] just want them to keep looking forward to better developing their business. ” The chamber is looking for sponsors to help fund the monthly grants.
This first grant was supported by Cesar Ornelas Injury Law. Executive Director of Marketing Veronica Reyes says the funds are a way to thank the Midland community. “Numerous… client families here in the area trust us in helping them when they’ve been in an accident.
So, this is one way we like to give back to the community in appreciation for trusting us in allowing us to represent them,” Reyes said. “And of course, this allows all of us to grow together. ” The grant application is open.
