Small Business program (Pepco Maryland) is sponsored by Pepco. This program offers financial incentives to Maryland commercial customers to make energy-efficient upgrades.

Save today and tomorrow by improving your business’s energy efficiency. Whether you’re a commercial, nonprofit, or government customer, get up to 70% of the total project costs covered by Pepco’s Small Business program when you upgrade to more energy-efficient equipment. You can also get funds to help pay for upfront costs.

The Small Business Energy Advance is repayable through your electric bill, with 0% interest for up to 24 months. To qualify for the Small Business program, you must: Be a Maryland commercial customer Use an average of 100 kW of electricity or less per month Choose an approved Service Provider The account may not be a temporary, cellular, or microwave transmission tower account, or be an account for a vacant building.

Parking lots, garages, or outdoor signage are qualified only when metered in a Small Business program-eligible account that includes a building. Since the inception of the EmPOWER Maryland program in 2008, the programs have saved $14. 5 billion on installed measures at a cost of $4. 1 billion.

In addition to new program costs, this charge includes paying off the uncollected costs that were accrued over time by programs required by the EmPOWER statute and authorized by the Commission. In accordance with House Bill 864 the uncollected amounts will be fully paid by the end of 2032.
