It supports organizations that have demonstrated commitment to promoting the welfare of animals through various programs including low-cost spay/neuter programs for pets of low-income families; programs to subsidize pet ownership for senior citizens; wildlife support and rehabilitation; and statewide training for animal protection professionals.
The Foundation also supports programs that address the adoption of shelter animals; the rescue of abandoned animals; and pet overpopulation. Giving is limited to Maryland-based organizations. A preliminary application and additional information is available on the Web site.
