Solar for All | Department of Environmental Protection | Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Energy Accelerator Program In April 2024, PEDA was awarded a $156 million grant for a low-income residential solar installation program under U.S. EPA’s Solar for All competition. Solar for All aims to increase the availability and accessibility of solar energy to low-income homeowners and disadvantaged communities.
</p>\r\n<p>PEDA’s Solar for All application was submitted in coalition with the Philadelphia Green Capital Corp. (PGCC), the non-profit green bank affiliate of the Philadelphia Energy Authority.
While PEDA will be developing a statewide Solar for All program, PGCC will run the program in the City of Philadelphia and the surrounding counties (Montgomery, Delaware, Chester, Bucks) by building on the success of PGCC's Solarize Philly initiative. </p>\r\n<p>The Pennsylvania Solar for All Program will provide solar installations for 12,500 households throughout the Commonwealth over a five-year program period.
It will also offer financial assistance for home repairs to allow households to experience the benefits of solar energy. Finally, the program intends to engage and grow the local solar industry and contribute to the development of Pennsylvania’s clean energy workforce. </p>\r\n<p><b>The Pennsylvania Solar for All program is not operational at this time.
We will update this page to reflect changes in program status, including when we would be able to accept applications for funding.
