South Georgia Legacy Fund – Community Foundation of South Georgia South Georgia Legacy Fund The Community Foundation of South Georgia believes in the importance of strengthening local nonprofits and that a vibrant community is one with strong nonprofits doing great work to address the community’s most pressing needs. The South Georgia Legacy Fund was created with this in mind and works to support nonprofits in our area.
Since inception, the fund has granted a total of $245,000 to 44 organizations in South Georgia. Annually, an overall total of $100,000 will be awarded with grants ranging from $2,000 to $5,000 . Applicants must be organizations classified as tax-exempt under 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code or a 501(c)3 equivalent and have their primary office and/or services located in CFSGA’s service area.

Proposals from organizations with a well-planned approach to issues and needs, a demonstrated base of support, committed leadership, and the involvement of individuals with the skills necessary to carry out the work.
