Southern Lowcountry Regional Cycle Application (The Beaufort Fund) is sponsored by Coastal Community Foundation of South Carolina. Coastal Community Foundation's competitive grants are available to organizations serving the Southern Lowcountry region of Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton, and Jasper counties. Grantmaking addresses health disparities and encourages positive lifestyle changes.

Applications are accepted in three categories, a structure intended to suit the needs of small, large and first-time applicants. This approach allows the selection committee to evaluate organizations that are similar in fiscal scope, life cycle and programmatic impact within each category. Nonprofits serving Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton and Jasper counties are eligible to apply for funding in categories they qualify for.

Application process and schedule: Interested applicants will apply through the Southern Lowcountry Regional Cycle Application on our online portal. A committee comprised of community members will consider applications and make recommendations. Select groups may receive a site visit and/or follow-up questions, with final decisions announced in late October.

Deadline: 11:59 p. m. June 1 or the next business day if the date falls on a weekend This grant supports strategic growth and/or expansion to increase the impact of a program that has already been proven successful.

This grant may also support a project that addresses a community need in a new or creative way. Applicants may request up to $10,000 of support from this category. Nonprofits applying for the Genesis Grant may have an annual budget of $300,000 or less and be a 501(c)(3) public charity or have a fiscal sponsorship.

Nonprofits applying for the Operational Grant may have an annual budget of $300,000 or more and must have had 501(c)(3) public charity status for a minimum of five years. grants@coastalcommunityfoundation. org This grant is only available to nonprofits that have not applied to The Four County Fund previously or have not received funding in the last five years.

Nonprofits may request up to $15,000 of support from this category. Nonprofits applying for the First-Time Grant may have an annual budget of $300,000 or more and must have 501(c)(3) status grants@coastalcommunityfoundation. org
