Southline Grants | Gila Community Foundation Spring 2026 Southline Grant Cycle The Gila Community Foundation (GCF) is proud to partner with Southline to support nonprofits and community initiatives across Southwest New Mexico. This grant cycle is designed to fund impactful projects that address critical community needs while demonstrating long-term sustainability.

This grant opportunity is open to organizations serving the following counties: Eligible applicants include: Nonprofit organizations (501(c)(3)) Churches and faith-based organizations Municipalities and public entities (for community impact projects) All applicants must be in good standing and able to demonstrate community benefit.

All applicants must be in good standing with the following: Internal Revenue Service (IRS) New Mexico Secretary of State (NM SOS) New Mexico Charitable Organization Registration Online System (NM COROS) Before applying, please take a few minutes to ensure your organization is fully compliant, including: Maintaining active 501(c)(3) status (if applicable) Filing required annual reports (such as Form 990) Maintaining an active registration with the New Mexico Secretary of State Completing and maintaining annual reporting through NM COROS Organizations that are not in compliance may be deemed ineligible for funding .

Areas of funding will be determined by the Southline Advisory Committee based on community needs and the strength of applications received. Important Applicant Information Previous Awardees (Fall 2025 cycle) : Organizations that received funding in the Fall 2025 Southline Grant Cycle are not eligible to reapply until the Fall 2026 cycle .

Previous Applicants ( not awarded in 2025 ) : If you applied during the 2025 cycle and were not awarded: Your previous application has been transferred into our new grant system. You will be prompted to complete updated questions. After completing the prompts, you may: Update and resubmit your previous application, or Start a new application for this cycle .

When signing into the system, use the same email address you applied with last cycle , then select “ Forgot Password ” to access your record. If you are applying for the first time: Please create a new account in our grant system. Follow the guided prompts to complete your application.

Strong applications clearly demonstrate: Need – What challenge or gap are you addressing in your community? Impact – Who will benefit and what outcomes do you expect? Sustainability – How will this project continue or create lasting value beyond this grant?

Our application system is designed to guide you through these components to help you submit a competitive proposal. April 15, 2026 – Grant Application Opens May 15, 2026 – Deadline to Apply June 15, 2026 – Award Notifications June 30, 2026 – Funding Distributed to Awardees Applications must be submitted through GCF’s online grant portal (see link below).

The system will guide you step-by-step through eligibility, organizational information, and project details. We strongly encourage applicants to begin early to allow time to fully develop responses and ensure all required information is complete prior to submission.
