Spay & Neuter Assistance Fund

Spay & Neuter Assistance Fund is sponsored by Friends of SVACA. This program provides financial assistance for spay/neuter surgeries to low-income residents of Santa Clara, Campbell, Mountain View, and Monte Sereno. It covers 50% of the cost for eligible pet owners.

Spaying or neutering has many benefits. Prevents the addition of more animals to the overpopulation problem.

Increases the likelihood that a companion animal will live a long and healthy life. Reduces the chance of unwanted behaviors, i.e. spraying in cats and roaming in dogs. Keeps your animal healthy by helping to prevent diseases.

SVACA’s spay and neuter clinic alters domestic cats and chihuahua and pit bull breed dogs between 4 months and 7 years of age for residents of the cities of Campbell, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Mountain View, and Santa Clara. The Friends of SVACA Spay & Neuter Assistance Fund is designed for residents experiencing financial hardship and residing in those cities only .

If your annual household income is $50,000 or less, or if you receive government assistance (unemployment, food stamps, and so on), our program will pay 50% of the cost of having your pet spayed or neutered. Step 1 : Complete SVACA’s Spay/Neuter Request Form . You will be required to provide proof of residency and proof of eligibility when you submit your application. Step 2 : If you qualify for services, you can then complete an Assistance Fund Application.

Step 3 : Once you have received the spay/neuter voucher, you have 90 days from the date on the voucher to have your pet(s) spayed or neutered at SVACA. Please note that each city limits the number of animals per household.
