Spay/Neuter Voucher Program (East Bay SPCA) is sponsored by East Bay SPCA. The East Bay SPCA offers spay/neuter vouchers for low-income services to individuals facing financial hardship in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.

Pet Care Financial Assistance - East Bay SPCA Pet Care Financial Assistance Our Humane Advocacy (HA) team helps make veterinary care more accessible through our Theodore B. Travers Family Veterinary Clinic . We’re here to advocate for you and your pet, guiding you through appointments, financial decisions, and connecting you with the resources you need.

We offer two types of financial support: assistance for veterinary conditions (non–spay/neuter) and separate assistance for low-cost spay/neuter services. Please review the eligibility and process for each program below.

(Not for Spay/Neuter Services) To qualify for help, pet owners must: Live in Alameda County or Contra Costa County (please note we have limited funding for Contra Costa County) Show proof of pet ownership for at least 30 days Commit to spay/neuter your pet (financial assistance available) We cannot assist with ongoing, specialty, emergency, cosmetic, or general wellness care.

During the appointment, the vet must confirm that your pet has a good prognosis. Submitting an application does not guarantee financial assistance. Complete our Veterinary Assistance Questionnaire.

English Application | Aplicación en Español A Humane Advocacy Case Manager will contact you to schedule your pet’s appointment at our Theodore B. Travers Family Pay a $60 deposit, which covers the exam cost. Attend your appointment with an East Bay SPCA veterinarian.

After the visit, review the findings with your case manager and discuss potential grant funding based on your pet’s needs. *We do require $60 to be paid at the time of booking the appointment as a deposit to hold the appointment. As long as you come to your scheduled appointment on time, the cost is applied to your appointment.

Spay/neuter voucher applications open on the first day of each month. Applications close once we have received 60 submissions. Spay/neuter appointments can be booked without a voucher here .

To qualify for help, pet owners must: Live in Alameda or Contra Costa County Show proof of pet ownership for at least 30 days Dogs must be 6 months to 6 years old. Cats must be 4 months to 6 years old. All pets must be 4 to 120 pounds Your pet must be healthy and cannot have any underlying medical conditions.

Pay a $75 deposit, which covers the cost of the spay/neuter. Additional surgery costs/services are client’s responsibility. Bring your pet to their scheduled appointment.
