SRP Classroom Grants

SRP Classroom Grants is sponsored by Salt River Project (SRP). Provides direct classroom funding for teachers in STEM, History, and Social Science to develop projects and programs geared toward state-mandated competencies. Teachers completing workshops receive a $400 grant for materials.

An error occurred while preparing your download Applications Now Open for SRP Classroom Grants of Up to $5,000 for Arizona Teachers Salt River Project (SRP) is now accepting applications for classroom grants of up to $5,000 to help teachers bring innovative learning ideas to their classrooms.

Teachers in elementary and high schools can apply now through February 15, 2026 for funding to support projects that encourage critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills. Educators can apply for two types of SRP Classroom Grants: STEM Education Grants – provides up to $5,000 per school to facilitate innovative teaching methods and improve student performance in science, technology, engineering and math.

History and Social Sciences Grants – offers up to $2,500 to support engaging instruction in history, geography, civics, government and economics. For the 2024-2025 school year, SRP funded $200,000 for STEM and social science projects, including the study of genetics, artificial intelligence, and sustainability.

“At SRP, we believe that investing in our teachers means investing in the future of our state,” said Anita Tarango, Corporate Giving Manager at SRP. “It’s inspiring to read teachers’ project proposals and know that students are gaining the necessary skills to help shape Arizona’s future. ” It is estimated that more than 2,000 students are positively impacted through the SRP Classroom Grants each year.

“I am extremely grateful for the grant I received from SRP,” said Sean Cederstrom, Second Grade Teacher at Chandler Traditional Academy Freedom. “This award has been a great blessing in my life and for the students at my school, directly enabling us to introduce transformative 3D printing technology to our school community. Teachers can apply now through February 15, 2026.
