Qualifying organizations: * Public charity that is a nonprofit under 501(c)3 of the IRS tax code in Arizona * County or municipality in the state of Arizona requesting funding under the section 170(c)1 IRS tax code * Tribal government in Arizona Qualifying service areas: * Public/civic engagement SRP does not fund the following through community partnerships: * Individuals, including for specific students, researchers, travel expenses, conference fees * Organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, military status, or any other protected status under applicable federal, state or local law.

* Medical research projects or medical procedures for individuals * Professional schools of art, academic art programs, individual high school or college performing groups * Political or lobbying groups or campaigns * Fraternal organizations, professional associations and similar membership groups * Organizations whose services are not provided in a geographic area where SRP provides electric or water service or employment * Public or commercial broadcasting programs * Religious activities or church-sponsored programs limited to church membership * Debt reduction campaigns * Under no circumstances will SRP donate service (water, electricity) or equipment or services for which a fee is normally charged ## SRP’s exceptional employees In addition to corporate giving, SRP employees donate time and resources in support of our communities.

Natalia Smith, Senior Safety and Health Specialist at SRP, has volunteered with Natural Restorations (Opens in a new tab) for the past eight years. This nonprofit focuses on the betterment of Arizona's environment, wildlife and communities. Some of her work involves trash and debris removal from recreation areas and replanting native plant species.

Smith has been able to combine her love of nature and outdoor recreation with her passion for making a difference and keeping Arizona beautiful. Natalia Smith, Mesa resident Senior Safety and Health Specialist at SRP Sandy Howell, Senior Customer Service Specialist at SRP, has volunteered with AZ Blankets 4 Kids (Opens in a new tab) for over two decades.

She's dedicated nearly 250 hours of volunteer work each year making blankets and quilts for youths and their families experiencing hardship. Howell's commitment to volunteerism is also evidenced by her participation in SRP volunteer opportunities that include filling boxes at St. Mary's Food Bank (Opens in a new tab) and supporting the Salvation Army's Christmas Angel (Opens in a new tab) and Backpack SOS (Opens in a new tab) programs.

* How does SRP's not-for-profit model benefit the community? SRP has no shareholders, so any revenue earned is reinvested into operations, customer programs, and community initiatives. This helps maintain affordable prices, strengthen reliability, and ensure the long-term health of Arizona's power and water systems.
